ASSESSING YOU

YOUR SITUATION

Finding the right country starts with understanding you. We take the time to learn who you are—your financial situation, who's coming with you, whether you're looking for a temporary change or a permanent home, and what's really driving your decision to move. From there, we dig into what matters most in your daily life: Do you want a bustling city or a quiet town? Warm weather year-round or distinct seasons? Are you open to learning a new language, or do you need an English-speaking community? How do you like to get around—walking, driving, public transit? What hobbies and interests do you want to continue or explore? These details aren't extras; they're the foundation. By understanding your lifestyle, priorities, and expectations upfront, we match you with destinations that actually fit—not just on paper, but in practice. You're not handed a generic list of countries. You get recommendations tailored to how you want to live, so your move feels intentional from the start.

WHAT YOU NNEED TO KNOW

THE COUNTRIES

Once we understand what you're looking for, we guide you through the countries that fit. We start with the practical: Can you actually get in? What visa pathways are available to you based on your income, assets, or retirement status? From there, we break down what daily life really costs, not just averages, but realistic budgets for how you want to live. We cover the climate so you know what to expect season by season, and how locals actually get around, whether that's walking, buses, trains, or needing a car. We explain the differences in housing that catch Americans off guard, from apartment sizes to lease terms to what's included. We walk you through opening a bank account, understanding exchange rates, and knowing your tax obligations both abroad and back home. Beyond logistics, we show you what there is to do, the culture, the lifestyle, the things that make a place feel like home. We introduce you to cities you've never heard of that might be a better fit than the famous ones. And we don't shy away from the realities of local politics and how they could affect your experience. You get the full picture, not a travel brochure.

OUR WORK

THE MATCHING

1. We start with a consultation to understand who you are, your finances, your goals, who's coming with you, and what you want from daily life abroad. We introduce you to countries that match your criteria and set expectations for what actually matters in this decision.

2. Once you've narrowed your focus, we prepare your ExpatExact Packet, a deep dive into your chosen country that's tailored specifically to you. This isn't generic information; it's customized guidance covering visas, cost of living, housing, healthcare, taxes, culture, and lifestyle based on your situation.

3. Your familiarization/scouting trip is built from that packet. We map out cities for you to visit with intention, so you experience each place as someone planning to live there, not as a tourist. You'll know what to look for, what questions to ask, and how to evaluate whether it's the right fit

4. Once you've chosen your destination, we don't disappear. We pivot you to a trusted, vetted immigration lawyer in that country who specializes in immigration, so your visa application is handled by someone who knows the local system inside and out. You stay supported from first conversation to approved residency, each step building on the last.
